The Adams-Friendship School District hired me in the fall of 2000, as a Physical Education teacher for 6th and 7th Grade, and Health Education teacher for 7th Grade. During my first 8 years, I coached Middle School Cross Country and High School Wrestling. In the spring of 2008, I was hired as the High School Athletic Director, at which point I handed over the duties of the Middle School Cross Country program. In my 9 years of High School Wrestling, the Green Devils have made great strides every year. Over the last 5 years, the Green Devils have had 25 Conference Champions, including Team Conference Champions in 2007, 2008 and 2009. We have had 16 State Qualifiers, and 14 State Placewinners, including Matt Theisen's State Title @ 130 lbs. in 2007, Adam Theisen's State Title @ 130 lbs. in 2008 and Ryan Seidler's State Title @ 135 lbs in 2009. Along with Ryan Seidler last year, Jacob Volkey placed 4th at 119 lbs., Brandon Sleeman placed 6th at 125 lbs. and Steve Baumel placed 6th at 152 lbs.
