Monitoring Student Achievement
High school assessments are critical tools used to monitor individual student achievement. AFHS prioritizes three purposes for these assessments as outlined in the State of Wisconsin's Balanced Assessment Framework. http://www.dpi.state.wi.us/oea/pdf/bas.pdf
MAP
The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment is one of the benchmark assessments used by AFHS teachers to monitor individual student achievement. This assessment is given to all ninth grade students in the fall and spring in mathematics and reading and to some students in the winter to more thoroughly monitor individual growth. The following link provides parents/guardians with up-to-date information about the MAP assessment and how it is used to inform classroom instruction.
