A-F Area Education Foundation

Friends of the Adams-Friendship Area Education Foundation:

On behalf of our foundation, students, faculty and staff, Thank You in our drive to make the A-F Fine Arts/Auditorium become a reality.  WE are grateful for your loyalty and support and we strive to maximize the impact of your gifts.

After Five years, our campaign has been successful in raising awareness about the need for raising Gift Dollars for Scholarships, donations to “Fore Our Kids”and the Fine Arts/Auditorium project.

This foundation began as a non-profit organization in February of 2002 and established categories for Scholarships, Fine Arts/Auditorium building project, Fore Our Kids (for special needs children) an a General Fund for Administration Needs ( paper, postage etc.). Multiple projects are done (Coat Check at Basketball games, UW Band Concert, UW Wisconsin Singers, Appleton Choir, 2 years of Lights of Life Tree), as well as contributions of memorials and general donations to initiate funds for these areas.
The Foundation appointed a Fine Arts Committee to visit schools in several cities and consulted with those involved in the methods of obtaining funding and running those facilities.

The Members surveyed Administration and Teachers regarding needs and uses of a Fine Arts/Auditorium Facility and offered the idea to the A-F School Board.  The School Board  agreed to support this idea of continuing to plan in this area and to assume responsibility of the facility as school property for ongoing control, maintenance and use.  The Foundation has agreed to raise $1,000,000 towards this project.

Usage of the Facility:
The School Board and Foundation agree that the primary use of such a facility would be performance space for students involved in Drama, Vocal/Instrumental Music, Forensics, and other teaching opportunities, Hosting of school competition as well as providing an area for display of Student Artwork.  Such a facility would also provide a Cultural venue for the entire community.

Realization of this Fine Arts/Auditorium Project will require both enthusiasm for providing our Students and Community with its advantages and with the financial support to realize our goal.

Sincerely,
Charles W Parr
