Dear AFE Families,
Welcome to the 2012-13 School Year!
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dawn Clark and I have assumed the position of associate principal for the past 3 years. I am married and have a daughter, Madalyn. We enjoy spending time outside, camping, walking, fishing, biking, and playing volleyball. I enjoy reading and scrapbooking in my free time.
I attained my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Winona State University. From there, I began my professional career working at AFE. Throughout the past fifteen years, I've taught second, fifth, sixth, and first grade in the Adams- Friendship School District. While teaching, I earned a master's degree in elementary education from Viterbo University and a school administrative certification through Marian University.
As an associate principal I will assume the responsibility of providing a setting where all individuals will feel good about learning. I will support our teachers as they provide opportunities for students to learn based on their individual needs and capabilities. In addition, I will continue to be knowledgeable about changes occurring in education and communicate these changes to our teachers.
I believe that regular attendance is essential to the education of your child/children. I will continue to work with families this year on making attendance a top priority.
If you have any questions or concerns, I will be available between the hours of 8:00am-12:00pm and 3:00pm-4:00pm. I look forward to working with each of you.
Sincerely,
Dawn Clark
